Log cabins under the northern lights
Six kelo-pine cabins in the snowy spruce forest below Levi fell. Each has its own sauna or fireplace, the ski trail runs past the door, and the sky to the north stays properly dark.
The place
A quiet forest, five minutes from the slopes
Tykky Cabins is a small group of six log cabins on the forest edge outside Levi village. You get the quiet of the woods and a dark sky for the aurora, with the lifts, restaurants and ski bus a short drive away.
The name comes from tykky, the heavy crown snow that turns every spruce here into a white figure by January. We live nearby and look after each cabin ourselves: firewood stacked, sauna ready to heat and beds made when you arrive.
- Ski trails from the doorThe lit cross-country track passes behind the cabins. The downhill slopes are a five-minute drive.

Levi has two great seasons. From November there is snow, ski trails and the northern lights. From late May the sun stops setting, the fells open for walking and the lakes are warm enough for a quick swim after the sauna.

Check the calendar
Pick a cabin and see which nights are free. Booked nights are greyed out, so you only ask about dates that work.
Send an enquiry
Tell us your dates and who is coming. We reply within one working day with the exact price for your stay.
Confirm and arrive
Pay a 30% deposit to confirm. Your arrival guide and key box code follow a week before you come.

We saw the northern lights from the hot tub on our second night. The cabin was warm when we arrived and the firewood was already in the basket.
Quiet, spotless and properly dark at night. The ski track behind the cabin meant we hardly used the car all week.
